Heaven Welcomes a Special Woman

Yesterday the Frances Foundation lost its outstanding leader , our beloved Honorary Chairwoman Cathy Shalloo.

Her strong faith enabled her to pass in peace and so grateful for a life of 87 years filled with happiness and love.

Cathy was a founding member of the FF; and she was known by many names, including Aunt Catherine, Aunt Kate, Kay, the Ladybug Lady ( a true environmentalist) and Frances’s younger sister. Since the inception of the Frances Foundation, she served as an Executive Vice President, Trustee, and many additional roles in bringing precious smiles to children battling cancer. Cathy was the 2021 FF Volunteer of the Year. She brought a tender heartfelt compassion to all FF events and initiatives. With her warm grace, dignity, and incomparable jest for life, she enriched the lives of so many and made our world a better place.

Although she will be dearly missed, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.
