2019-2020 Annual Highlights

I received super great news from our FF  warrior Grace “Cookie” West from Freehold. After a long-time battle, then a relapse, and another very  tough battle , Cookie’s scans are finally & officially clear !!!!

Cookie is very excited, and so are we,  so join me in congratulating Cookie & we couldn’t be happier and more excited for and with her.

As a friendly reminder, Cookie was a co-host of our October 2020 Virtual Gala along with her buddy FF Jr. Trustee Sydney Rubman. See attached photo. Cookie’s fight goes back to 2014 or so ( maybe earlier) ; & attached is a photo of Cookie with our angel Sami on the Santa cruise in December 2015, almost 6 years ago. This fall Cookie will be going to college at NYU !!

We will celebrate this great news with Cookie, and more warriors, at our Saturday, July 10th  picnic and softball tournament.

Dear Friends of the Frances Foundation For Kids Fighting Cancer:

Giving the highest priority to the health, safety and welfare of our children fighting cancer and all of our supporters, the Frances Foundation ( “FF” ) has postponed its annual gala from October 16, 2021 to October 15, 2022. As disappointing as this decision is, it is the right decision. Our gala has always focused on honoring our pediatric warriors.  Due to the current pandemic situation, it is impossible to have these children attend such a large event this year.

Throughout 2021, the FF has remained steadfast in bringing smiles to kids with cancer and financial assistance to their families. More than $200,000 has already been gifted this year and approximately $3.6M since our inception. Our attached “WHAT WE DO “ card outlines the allocation of 100 % of your donations.

Attached is a photo of our warrior Natalie & her dad on the Citi Field jumbotron during a recent FF excursion to a Mets game attended by many of our warriors and their families. Warrior Shane & his siblings also attended and are in the photo below with Mr. Met. On a sad note, tragically, the FF has assisted in the payments of far too many funeral home bills this year.

TO SUSTAIN our compassionate mission, we are undertaking the following fundraising efforts:

  1. A SUPER 50/50 CASH RAFFLE (see attachments)

  2. AN ONLINE SILENT AUCTION (to be posted soon)

  3. SOLICITING DIRECT DONATIONS and SEEKING SPONSORS (see attached for 2021-2022 FF sponsorships).

TO DONATE an item to our silent auction, please send an email to trustee Keia Rubman at rubbs5@verizon.net or call/text Keia at 908.415.12498

TO PURCHASE raffle tickets, please see the attached flyer and ticket order form. You can also pay for raffle tickets by clicking “donate” on our website www.francesfoundation.net and emailing the form back to me.

Last year we sold out all 1,000 tickets and our 3 cash prizes totaled $50,000. Please share this flyer and order form with your family, friends, colleagues and on your social media. If you have any questions, please let me know.

On behalf of all of our warriors and their families, we extend our heartfelt thanks for your continuing and generous support.
