The Birth of a Special Charity For Special Kids
On July 26, 2004 a certificate of incorporation was filed with the State of New Jersey Secretary of State’s office officially giving birth to a new non-profit charitable organization known as “THE FRANCES FOUNDATION FOR KIDS FIGHTING CANCER, INC.” The Foundation’s inspirational namesake, Frances Jean Nolan Heugle, taken by cancer from us in March 2000, had a very special love for all children. It is in her name that fifty (50) good-hearted generous members of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees have united to bring smiles to seriously ill kids fighting cancer. The foundation’s mission statement sets forth its purpose and the Foundation looks forward to and thanks you for all your support on behalf of all the kids.
The Foundation's Mission
The Frances Foundation has a focused, devoted commitment to bring smiles to kids fighting cancer. The Foundation strives to alleviate a child’s pain and suffering with a special gift, a special gesture, or even a few special moments. The Foundation also provides financial assistance to impoverished families desperately needing help due to their child’s fight against cancer. The Foundation seeks to give compassionately to children and families dealing with extremely difficult physical and emotional challenges. In addition to direct aid to a child or family, The Foundation also supports research aimed to terminate childhood cancers. Helping kids is our passion. Simply stated, “smiles for seriously ill kids with cancer” is this Foundation’s mission.
